Went solo for some fun today 🤪 Thoughts in head ‘don’t illegally tuck’ I came into todays stage 4th GC down 2sec from the podium after two 3rd placings testing my ability in bunch sprints. I was hungry for that podium and wanted to target the intermediate sprints to help give a buffer before the finish. So when @petamullens came up next to me to give me a gel at 5kms out from the first one I said ‘na I’m about to attack’ and she said ‘oh yep’. So off I went to take max bonus seconds before sitting back in the pelo to recover. The day exceeded exceptions managing to navigate the bunch well after a very hard QOM section for a technical finish and sprint for second to bump myself into 2nd GC The girls all road amazing supporting my GC ambitions as well as taking out team classification 🥳 huge thanks! I’m happy with how I raced today. Aggressive and taking opportunity where I could.
