april has flown by! we went to NV to celebrate 60 years of my grandparents love, set down the phone lots to enjoy growing giggles (and picked it up again for cool opportunities). we celebrated Hayes being four months and feeling a lil more out of the postpartum fog (until mama got strep throat because gotta stay humble). cody & i relish in the “ordinary” until we remind ourselves there’s nothing ordinary about love & we watch it grow in the blue eyes of our babies + the late night recaps of our days with each other. it seems to be that our walls have seen more tears & laughter combined than ever before. laughter because of how many tears; tears because of big laughter. contentment was a word I feel God reminded me of. now I see how that gift keeps my feet in the shoes I hardly deserve, but get the pleasantry to walk in. awe and wonder isn’t just company in rare, outstanding life moments. it’s a friend that grounds us where we are, for its wisdom whispers to us— “don’t miss this.” that’s all for now, friends.
