In 2018, @coreymichaelroberts introduced me to the @thewarandtreaty. Not only was the band's music undeniable, their story was the best I had heard in my life. I needed to be a part of helping them share it with the world. After signing their music publishing, I began shopping my first film. The first call made was to rockstar screenwriter @willmccormack. He immediately felt the story's impact and brought on co-writer @craig_borten. We flew to Nashville so Will & Craig could meet the band and they could hear the story in person. Will and Craig continued to assemble an A list team, bringing it to @gilbert_films. @harveymasonjr & @getlifted joined on as well. After 3.5 years of building, the film now is under the direction of the incredible Numa Perrier. Take away: when you feel something profoundly emotional, invest your time and resources heavily in it.
