Ray Liotta went to bat for me. There was a film that Ray happened to be producing and he thought that I might be right for a specific role. A good role. He said that he would see what he could do about getting me the part. You hear this in Hollywood. You hear it a lot and usually it’s pure bullshit. But not with Ray Liotta. He went to war. Over the course of the next two weeks Ray kept me abreast of the particulars of this ongoing battle. It didn’t work out. I did not get the role, but I found out what a stand-up guy Ray Liotta was because he went to bat for me. RIP to one of the genuine goodfellas.
