Back in the ‘90s, when I was working at W Magazine, Ten Thousand Things was changing the way we wore jewelry! The brand’s influence on jewelry is showcased in a 30 year Retrospective exhibit @pratt_institute_jewelry. It’s not just the jewels, which, of course, are fabulous, but it shows designers David and Ron’s trajectory in culture, media and style. Curated by jewelry historian Marion Fasel @theadventurine, the exhibit features their story, including iconic pieces like the hand-cut Nephrite jade earrings (my favorite), magazine shoots, delicate gold beaded designs and cut gemstone charm necklaces, but wait - you can still see it! It’s been extended and is up until this Friday!
