From fried mantou to sweet miàn tuán; from Turkey Hill vanilla bean ice cream to @daniellespence home-spun golden sesame gelato, this has been our only dessert for over six years, with only a few mighty changes that have led to a dramatic metamorphosis, and it still hits. • Flour skins wrapping “milk” flavored ice cream with shaved peanut brittle and fresh cilantro in a Tainan night market with @therealkeanureeves his mom Leah and auntie Sophia inspired @trigg.brown to make this ice cream sandwich with butter-fried peanuts, cilantro-mint sauce and leaves (you can order it without nuts or cilantro 🤷‍♀️). • Shout out to Mr. Richard Ho @hofoodsnyc for lending us some @wadaman_goma golden sesame paste for something else entirely, but it was so good we thought maybe it was a caterpillar in a cocoon waiting to be a gelato butterfly.
