In 1967, a little-known rock group called the Doors played midweek shows in SF in a club called the Matrix. They played to a nearly empty room — maybe 5 to 10 people. No one really showed up. But one day, the club owner was testing out his new recording equipment, and decided to record this “random band.” The recording just collected dust. Then that Summer, the Doors played at the first-ever rock festival, Magic Mountain — and people started wanting their records. So they dusted off that random recording from that random set, and put-together a two-CD set. To this day, “The Doors: Live at the Matrix 1967” is one of their bestselling albums. We love a good underdog story. So much so we created a limited-edition Doors tee. Hope you like it as much as we do. 🤘
