Here’s my newest make, as well as my inspiration for the dress. I hope you all like it as much as I do!
I got this gingham from @bohofabrics
I wasn’t sure what to do with it, so after some research I stumbled across this dress. I decided to make my own version of a peek a boo skirt. I used the bodice of a pattern I am testing from Stitch Witch patterns called the Lilith! The fit is lovey and perfect for this dress.
For the skirt, Instead of putting the solid on the exterior, I used the solid as the skirt lining. It turned out even better than I had hoped! I opted for gathers rather than pleats. The skirt is two layers, so it gives it that extra floofiness that I love in a gathered skirt. I love the fitted bodice too. I look forward to layering this piece during the winter time. I made the underskirt a few months ago. The eyelet just gives it a little extra something. :)
What do you all think?
Also, shout out to bbreath.designs for inspiring me to share my inspiration. ❤️ I’d appreciate you interacting with this video and giving me a follow if you’d like to see more sewing and styling content. Thank you!!
