David Cloud Jr. was an incredible son, father, friend, business leader, and so much more. I had the privilege of knowing and loving him as an Uncle and as a mentor. He always brought a smile to anyone who he shared a room with, and had incredible wisdom and knowledge. It is with a heavy heart that I announce that over the weekend he unexpectedly passed away due to complications of sepsis. He leaves behind many people including his parents, his sister, his wife and his 3 children. During this time of grief, I ask for your prayers for my family and I, along with the many people who were impacted by his life. Thankfully we know that he is in Heaven because of his faith in Jesus and we hold fast to this hope that the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus has secured his future as those who believe in Him will be saved. Easter reminds us that we don’t place our faith in ourselves, our willpower, our happiness, nor western medicine but in the Living God who defeated death after taking our sin, and then imputed His Righteousness onto us instead. Therefore, even through tears, we can hope in this: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”“Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” 1 Corinthians 15:54-57
