We are grateful to our partners at the Institute of Social Policy and Understanding (@the_ISPU) for elevating the voices of Native and Indigenous Muslim peoples. ISPU provides objective research and education about American Muslims to support well-informed dialogue and decision-making. “Visions and Voices” explores the intersection of Indigenous and Muslim identity in the U.S. and highlights the challenges, strengths, and needs of this community. The series seeks to provide an accurate representation of Native and Indigenous Muslim peoples, on their own terms. This narrative photo series is part of a larger research project called "Native American and Indigenous Muslim Stories: Reclaiming the Narrative,” which will also include a comprehensive report that will come out in Spring 2023.
