It was always much easier for me to understand the broad and granular definitions of assault but so difficult to apply to myself and to sit with this unrealized trauma in my 24 year old body. Also: men don’t get to call themselves “freaky” or “polyamorous” or “experimental” or “kinky” when they don’t know safety and they only know assault and violence.
