Lol, so we’ll always try and get to the bottom of what things you like and what things you don’t. 2. We don’t always remember what we did last time! Some clients say, “Cut my hair just like you did last time.” it’s super helpful if you take a picture especially if you wait a long time in between visits. 3. For stylists, tips should be 15 to 20 percent of the total cost of your bill unless they specify that they don’t take gratuity. And yes tip their assistant. 4. We don’t want you to do your hair at home... especially your color. You could set yourself way back when it comes to your hair goals. Also it’s going to cost way more to fix it. 5. A trim and a haircut ARE the same thing. We have to go through the same process to cut and style you. 6. Sometimes when we’re out of your color, we formulate something differently without telling you. 😏🤭 7. It’s in your best interest to NOT book on a Saturday, or when we’re super busy. Even if you have to take off work, ask for when your stylist is slow and you’ll get the most one on one attention. 8. We have code words for bleach so it doesn’t sound abrasive, like Hair Lightener and Color Remover or Decolourizer. 9. Your friends and family, and even significant others will tell us things they won’t tell you or anyone else. 10. The notes I keep in your client records are sometimes personal. Like don’t ask about relationship and has three dogs. 11. You don’t need ALL the products. Too much styling goo can kill a look. But definitely get the right shamp and cond! 12. If you ask to get squeezed in, it might be your hair that suffers. Good things take time... and money. 13. Don’t show up late with a Starbucks drink in your hand, it’s a running joke in every salon’s back room. 14. Look at the hair on your inspiration photo... not the face. Cover the face with your thumb and see if it’s still the hair you want. 15. We love a client selfie and positive feedback because we deeply care. Hair is our passion. #laugh
