Lasagna Soup♥️🍅 This is comfort in a bowl... my husband said it’s his favorite soup so far in my soup series! Also it’s pretty high in protein which is a plus! Ingredients: * 2 tbsp olive oil or butter * 1 lb Italian sausage and 1/2 lb ground beef * 1 yellow onion * 4 garlic cloves * 1 tbsp Italian seasoning * 1/4 tsp chili flakes * 1 tsp salt * 1 tsp pepper * 2 tbsp tomato paste * 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes * 6 cups @Kettle & Fire Shop chicken bone broth (this adds in a lot of extra protein!!) * 11 lasagna sheets (a little under 1 lb) * 1 cup heavy cream * handful of fresh basil Ricotta mixture: * heaping cup of ricotta * 1/2 cup grated parm * 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella * couple pinches of fresh parsley * salt and pepper Heat up your olive oil or butter in a pot on medium heat and add in the meat. Once that’s halfway cooked, add in the chopped onion, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, chili flakes, salt and pepper. Mix and let that cook together for 5ish minutes. Add in the tomato paste and stir. Then add the crushed tomatoes and chicken broth. Stir. Once that comes to a boil, break up your lasagna noodles and add them in. Turn the heat to medium low/low and cover. Let that simmer for 12-15 minutes. While the noodles are cooking, mix together your ricotta mixture and chop up a lot of fresh basil. Uncover the soup and add in the heavy cream and the fresh basil. Stir.
