Barbie vibesss *** As I was thinking about posting this a thought came to my mind that stemmed over the past week at clash camp about comparison. This has been so relevant since the beginning of time and in the career I’ve chosen to go into it is so hard not to compare yourself to others. I looked up some verses about this topic and this one stood out to me in 1 Peter 3:3-4 it says “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” Although dressing up and doing hair and makeup is so fun it doesn’t show true beauty, what is on the inside is what shows how truly beautiful you are, being filled with the Holy Spirit has symptoms of the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control) and THAT is what makes you beautiful... not outward appearances so there is no need to compare how you look on the outside!! you’re perfect just the way God made you.
