@pele touched millions of people, all over the world, and if he could, he would stop to hug and sign autographs for each and every of them. I know this because I got to witness it firsthand, in the 7 years and 34 countries that we spent together! It made the arduous work feel so rewarding and worthwhile, because you knew you were making a huge difference simply by showing up for others. I owe so much of my life and career ethos to him - I truly got to learn from the master. He was my boss, my hero, my friend. They just don’t make professional athletes like him anymore. He was one of a kind.
