I cannot believe I am about to say this but... 10 years baby! You heard me correctly I’ve been a full time wedding photographer for 10years this month. What an incredible journey I’ve been on, so many days I’ve been blessed to have been a part of. There has been a lot of learning curves, plenty of ups and downs which is just the territory of any business. But I would not change it for the world. So here is my Oscars acceptance speech. *hold my glass* Thank you to my first official wedding as Claire Basiuk Photography Heather and Gav @tspcake @gavgav27 Taking that leap of faith on me was the starting blocks of this business and without your support I don’t know if I would’ve truly jumped into weddings the way I did. The better half @wuzzywaby never steering me away from this even when financially it was a struggle. Holding my hand through the highs and lows and singing my praises when I doubt myself. Truly could not have done this without your support and guidance and creative eye to pick my lighting apart 🥰 @theashesbarns was my first venue which really showed me how truly unique and special and non traditional weddings could be and that’s what really lured me into pursuing this as a career. @wyresdaleweddings for being a venue that since 2016 I’ve had the pleasure to photograph at and call them my home from home for weddings @danjortaz gonna miss your face. @bellsanddaisies for giving me so many opportunities to fall in love with wedding florals time and again having suppliers like you to work alongside makes this job a joy! There are so many photographers who I have had the pleasure to get to know over the years and call friends who offer so much support in this crazy industry @lucygweddings @stellafotos some of the first photographer I met and boy did you guys set the standard high but I adore you!!! And let’s not forget some people who inspired me with their workshops or just gave me a reassuring hand with business @liamandbee @lawsonphotographyuk @jonnydraperphotography and. @samdocker.co And lastly my couples, you trust and inspire me and it’s a cliche but each new booking I get to be a part of makes me the happiest photographer in the 🌍
