🧚 REVIEW 🧚 Balea Beauty Expert Peeling Cleanser 0,8% AHA + 3% PHA ⠀ The affordable European drugstore brand Balea has been releasing some interesting products lately and showing that mass produced drugstore skincare can learn and grow along with the wants and needs of the skincare community. The new Beauty Expert line seems to be targeted towards the new generation of skincare buyers and the Peeling Cleanser is the one I tested out first. Let's get into the review! 💚 PACKAGING: This cleanser comes in a soft plastic 125ml tube. The packaging is easy to open and close and there is zero messy leakage involved. The product is priced at €3.95 which is extremely accessible and I love to see that. TEXTURE: Now this is an area where this product truly shines! The texture of this cleanser is absolutely gorgeous: It has a thick jelly like texture that turns into a creamy cleansing cream when it touches water. There is only a minimal lather and it slips beautifully on the face. EFFECTIVENESS: This is a very effective cleanser. It cleanses your skin nicely without leaving it feeling dry, tight or uncomfortable. It honestly feels like a more luxurious cleanser and that's great. However, this is advertised as a "peeling" cleanser and I don't think the amount of exfoliating acids in this will do much peeling considering there is only 0,8% AHA (lactic acid) and 3% PHA (gluconolactone). This would be a wonderful amount for a super gentle leave-on toner or a serum, but for a cleanser that will be in contact with your skin for 30-60 seconds? Not really. That said, these acids at this percentage do offer other benefits, such as hydration for your skin. INGREDIENTS: The ingredient list is pretty much perfect if you're looking for a gentle cleanser. This doesn't include any harsh surfactants and the addition of Aloe Leaf Juice and Panthenol make it a real knockout. CONCLUSION: The Balea Beauty Expert Peeling cleanser is a wonderful cleanser that I would recommend to almost everyone. Although it won't do much exfoliating, I almost prefer it this way because the gentle formulation means it can be used daily without problems. 👍 #skincare #balea #cleanser
