Recipe: 1 medium orange 3/4 cup water 1/4 cup sugar 10 to 20 whole cloves 2 cinnamon sticks 2 whole star anise 1 (750-milliliter) bottle dry red wine Rum or amaretto, for serving (optional) Method: -mix in all ingredients (except wine) and cook on low for 20-30 min -add in wine and only leave on heat for 3-4 minutes so alcohol does not burn out -wine: You don’t want to use anything too sweet (or expensive)! -orange: Use both the zest and the fresh juice. -Tip: stick the cloves in the orange skin if you plan to serve without straining. #germanglühwein #gluhwein #mulledwineseason #mulledwinerecipe #holidayhosting #cocktailrecipe
