This film is a quiet technical feat. Combining handheld docustyle camera work and stop motion animation is like trying to combine oil and water, and yet it works perfectly. It is charming and looks deceptively effortless. This shell will make you believe he is real and then break your heart. So proud of Kirsten and her crew. All of those days of breast pumping while shooting or going to work with half as much sleep as you needed paid off. Love you.
