dear cheerleading, never imagined I’d be writing this so early, but the time finally came to walk away. this sport has been a part of my life from just a few weeks old in the gym while my mom coached, all the way to now a senior at hanover college. cheer was my first love, woven into every stage of growing up from learning my ABCs to getting me through college. and here I am now leaving it as a memory I’ll always carry with me. this sport taught me more than I ever expected from getting back up after a fall to recognizing when it is time to step away. thank you to my teammates, to my family, and to my forever coach Mom who showed me what it means to truly love cheer. forever grateful for the chapters this sport gave me. 📣🎀💄
