Russian & Ghanaian, Moldovan & Cape Verdean, Russian & African-American, Russian and Congolese. These are just a few out of many who I’m looking forward to connecting with for “Black Russian”. Two of these I photographed over a video call, which I’m like wow what a generation we live in, but in Phase 2 the goal is to do these in person because it just hits different. I named this series “Black Russian” because I wanted a project that represents me, but the overall name holds many different umbrellas for people from all over Eastern Europe and predominately Black regions.
