Going to the Hollywood Farmers Market has been integral to my life in LA every Sunday. As consumers, we have a lot of power with who we choose to support and where we spend our money, and having access to a farmers market to be in tune with seasonal California produce has been one of my greatest privileges. Did you know that at a grocery store, on average, the farms and vendors see maybe 15 cents for every one dollar spent as the profit stays with the big grocery store, whereas at a farmers market, on average the vendors and farms will take home roughly 85 to 92 cents for every one dollar spent?
