BREAKFAST IS BEST — For a quick, healthy breaky that the whole family will enjoy try our Baked Apple and Cinnamon Porridge! 🍏
Dry Ingredients:
· 2 cups Oats (or quinoa flakes for gluten free)
· 2 tsp Kissed Earth Divine Woman
· 2 tsp Cinnamon
· 1/2 tsp Ground cloves
· 1/2 tsp Baking powder
· 1 cup Apple grated
Wet Ingredients:
· 130g Apple
· 2 tbsp
· Chia seeds
· 2 tsp Vanilla extract
· 2 1/4 cups Milk of choice
· 2 tbsp Honey extra for drizzling
Topping:
2 tbsp Pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp Sunflower seeds
1 1/2 cups Natural yoghurt (or dairy free yoghurt) for serving
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180C (356F).
2. Combine all dry ingredients in large mixing bowl until combined.
3. Place all wet ingredients in a blender and blend till well combined.
4. Pour blended wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry and mix until well combined.
5. Spoon the mix into a baking dish and even out the top with the back of the spoon.
6. Top the oat mix with pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds and a drizzle of honey if desired.
7. Bake for 35 – 40 minutes, checking at the 30-minute mark. The Baked Apple & Cinnamon Porridge Oats are done when firm to touch in the centre and golden on top.
8. Serve with 1⁄4 cup per serve of natural yoghurt or dairy free yoghurt of choice.
