Dear Ma, Happy Heavenly Birthday. 🕊🎈It has been 1 year and 8 months since you’ve been gone. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you. I look for you everyday. You’ve shown up in my dreams, in the form of numbers and the color red. As a child, you always dressed me in red—your favorite color. There’s no better way than to honor you today by wearing your favorite color. So much has happened since you’ve left. This has been the toughest year of my life. I spent more than half of the year depressed. Countless days in bed because it hurt to move. I’ve cried many tears. Some days I would cry from the moment I woke up all the way up to when I went to bed at night. Everything just seemed harder to do without you around. I miss you like crazy. I’ve learned the moment I stop living, so do you. I have overcome a lot this year and I have you to thank for that. Thank you for guiding me through the darkness and back to the light.
