Replying to @itllgetbetter15 this yellow (geometric yellow) brings me so much joy. Six years ago when this house became mine, I painted all of the walls white. Of all of the neutral color options white was the boldest option. It was the only option that made me feel slightly excited about decorating. But, I am learning that I can have bold preferences and choose those bold options for my home if I enjoy it. my husband isn’t a big fan of bold colors because he’s concerned about what other people will think about our house. Fortunately, or unfortunately, we are not hosting fancy people so it really doesn’t matter what anyone thinks about our house. If school bus yellow makes me happy and it’s not hurting anyone and I will paint my walls yellow. I will probably change my mind in just a few years and that’s OK. i’ve set all the furniture back into place to give us some normalcy and a break from the house being under construction. Sometimes when you get in the mood to paint it can be really tempting to keep painting new walls without putting things back into place. When the house is in that state, it definitely makes me feel off and I think it makes my husband feel a little anxious as well. next up, I really want to paint the wooden furniture that is in our living room. I think the room would look really great with some bold colors on the wood. I’m also toying with the idea of painting the cushions. I found several articles where people describe the process of painting upholstery with fabric medium and different types of paint.
