🧚 REVIEW 🧚BANISH The Defender SPF50 Broad Spectrum Mineral Sunscreen I'm going to be honest with you. Looking for a good mineral sunscreen can be a nightmare! 😩 They often pill, have a thick pasty texture and leave a strong whitecast that make you look like a ghost. πŸ‘» This is where BANISH comes in. BANISH is a skincare company from Pasadena, California that focuses on acne prone skin. The brand has been around for quite some time, but they wanted to make their sunscreen perfect. So, they didn't rush it. The brand owner Daisy Jing says they were formulating this sunscreen for almost 2 YEARS! 😱She kept rejecting formulas until they found the perfect lightweight formula. The moment I first put The Defender on my skin, I knew their hard work was worth it. πŸ’š PACKAGING The product comes in a high quality glass bottle with a pump. It feels sturdy and well made and it's very easy to dose the right amount of product. The 50ml bottle goes for $49 which can seem on the high side, but when I take into the account the amount of work behind this product, the ingredients and the way it feels on the skin I'd say it's worth every penny. πŸ’Έ TEXTURE This sunscreen comes in a beautiful organic Aloe Leaf Juice and Aloe Leaf Gel base, meaning the texture comes out as a light hydrating gel cream. Unlike most other mineral sunscreens, it's easy to spread and sets into the skin within seconds, leaving you hydrated but not oily. πŸ’¦ EFFECTIVENESS: My skin is instantly soothed, hydrated and protected. I've already used this in the warm Croatian weather by the beach and the sunscreen kept me protected from the sun without feeling oily or breaking me out at all! 🧚 INGREDIENTS: A combination of organic aloe, several types of peptides for anti-aging, Vitamin E and several mineral filters make The Defender a great skincare product overall. The Defender is also fragrance free and vegan. 🌿 CONCLUSION: If you've been on a hunt for a light, breathable and cosmetically elegant mineral sunscreen that is especially kind to acne prone skin, I highly recommend the BANISH Defender SPF50. BANISH really knocked it out of the park with this one and the wait was worth it! πŸ‘ #sunscreen
