Prepping skin for makeup is crucial as you age! I didn’t seem to need to worry about it quite so much in my 20’s as I do in my 30’s. Here are some things to try if you’re just not getting that glowy skin we are all after! 1 make sure your skin is exfoliated. We shed skin much faster as we age and it’s even more important to keep that skin fresh and ready for makeup. I use a fabulous exfoliator that can be used every day called Stimulate. You can grab it in the link in my bio under rewind skin care. 2 hydration! So important!!! Unless you have oily skin, moisturize before applying makeup. Esp the under eye. If you do have oily skin, hydrate 30 mins prior to makeup. I like to use an oil before I apply my makeup- also found in the link in my bio. 3- Sandwiching- this has been the game changer for me honestly. Before you blend, SPRAY! I use @lauramercier setting spray right before and after I blend. It infuses the makeup with staying power. 4- if you have to, lightly dust setting powder all over but don’t go too crazy because powder is not too friendly with the wrinkles! It likes to enhance those babies. Which is why cream is the best makeup! You can find my fave creams at blushbasics.com. I use vanilla dust (found under “my makeup” on my site) for setting. #youthfulglow #naturalglow #over40 #agingcare #maturemodel #aginggracefully #agingbackwards #agegracefully #greatskin #youthfulskin #glowyskin #dewyskin #glowymakeup #over30 #makeupover30 #makeupover40
