One full year with you❤️ A year ago, I held you in my arms for the first time, crying out “my baby, my baby” with no understanding of what any of you would mean to me. I immediately learned to love you unconditionally. To want to give you my entire world. What I didn’t expect in return, was you guiding me to live in the subtlest of moments, to slow down my breath to match yours, to hold on to the snuggles, to savor every waking (and sleeping) moment that we so often take for granted. You are your dad’s head shape (lol) and my eyes. You are both our personalities combined – full of curiosity, joy, and affection. Playful, independent, and infectious with your smile. A part of me wants to have time stand still so you can be my baby forever and ever. A part of me can’t wait to hear all your hopes and dreams so I can support you every step of the way.
