I wanted to share 3 remixes that I made last year that have all finally made their way in to the world. They are all up in my linktree under the remix section. First up is my remix of @littledragonflicks “Rush”. I completed this a few days before my final trip to dj in Australia and Japan last (last) February. My personal brief for this was 100 BPM Gay Dancehall. I really loved working on this one. The next remix which came out a few months before is for the @theworkingbitches and their track “Being in Total Control Honey”. It came about during a chance encounter in Sydney in the days after Mardi Gras. We went for some drinks in our favourite queer bar in the city @thebeardedtit for the Wednesday @queerbourhood_ gaythering. Upon hearing @stereogamous play the original I asked who it was by, it turns out it was by four amazing women @auntystellyg @gangajan @bettygrumble @iyaconic and produced by @stereogamus and @paulmac, i asked if I could remix it and they said yes. I decided to keep it slow and dial up the low end. It was dubbed regayton by Jonny ❤️ The final remix is for a bunch of close friends @majorettes_nyc and their track “Run the trip” aka @justin_cudmore and @thecarrynation_nyc . For this one I wanted to channel the sound of one of my favourite dance floors in the world @thenycdownlow. It’s nice and bumpy with a piano house moment thrown in for good measure.
