And I think a lot of stylists have different ways of viewing tease. I don’t think anyone is wrong. . I view tease as 1 thing mainly ⤵️. . TEASE= DEPTH : explanation: How much depth you plan on saving for the desired out come. . What I don’t view tease as - BLEND - : Explanation : the one thing I do not view tease as is my blend. Don’t get me wrong it can def help make things softer but fortunately & Unfortunately I’m a perfectionist - I rely on my #colormelt for my blend. . In my opinion there are 3 different kinds of Teases! . 🔑 SMALL TEASE - about an inch to 3 inches away from the scalp - this is meant for maximizing potential Blonde in that section but depth or a small blend around the scalp. I do these kind of teases depending on the out come around the face if I want a high money piece area. There will be more blonde at the base . . 🔑 MEDIUM TEASE - any tease starting around the middle of the section , this has multiple purposes preservation of more depth, and a much softer transition at the root then the small tease. . 🔑 LARGE TEASE - My personal favorite allows so much versatility large teases can pull hair from the bottom if you want a dimensional out come or you can grab just low enough where you don’t pull hair from the bottom and make a solid ends outcome. Large teases are my favorite for lives in balayage looks starting my tease from the bottom and pushing it as close to the scalp so I can get a super soft transition * Remember * a good colormlet is still needed! .
