Replying to @Mark Polchleb This is no hate to the Daily Mail, it was just the first headline I found with ‘beauty blogger’ or ‘beauty entrepreneur’. For context, I was in a retail store a few weeks ago and the lady working there asked me ‘how far along I am’ which really upset me as I am not pregnant. I have spent the last 2 years of my life getting tests and procedures to try to help with my bloating issues and I’m now on a long-term medication to assist with my digestion so I have always been really self-conscious about my belly. I am also overweight so it upset me that someone would assume I am pregnant because of that. I have no idea why I decided to make a Tiktok about my experience but I am honestly so glad I did. Firstly, everyone’s comments were so nice and made me feel so much better🥰 Secondly, I couldn’t believe how many people this had happened to and it opened up an important conversation. The store has apologised to me and I understand the lady just made a genuine mistake and didn’t mean to upset me. But yeah, please never ask anyone if they are pregnant🥹🥹🥹 Anyhoo, I found it interesting that so many news and media publications ran a story, but only one of them directly contacted me asking me comment🤷🏼♀️ Some of the media referred to me as ‘business owner’ or ‘founder of Tribe Skincare’ etc, but others referred to me as ‘beauty blogger’ or ‘influencer’ which was strange as I have never done either of those jobs😅 Which as I said, I don’t care. But I am super proud of the fact I am the founder of a successful skincare company, so would have loved if my job title was a little more accurate. Ok, that’s all I had to say😂 Thanks again to everyone that was so kind to me through this experience! Sending you all so much love💕💕💕
