DREAM BIG: I’m honored to be on the digital cover of @bazaarvietnam . Growing up, I never saw women who looked like me on the cover of magazines, in movies or as the face of a beauty brand. I hope my life story inspires you to DREAM BIG and to know that anything is possible. For me, that meant everything from creating a digital startup in my parents’ garage and selling it, to transitioning into acting and creating a beauty brand to help solve real-life problems. I was interviewed by my friend and fellow Armenian @edwardbarsamian (link in bio) for the magazine. Edward also was the visual director for this shoot and did an amazing job. I got to talk about my role in “I Love Us” @iloveusmovie and the amazing talent that I got to meet and work alongside. I also share details about the scripted shows and documentaries that I am creating under my production company dedicated to amplifying diverse voices. This magazine cover was so special for me as I got to also use my third product for the shoot and work with some amazing people that I call my friends, from the makeup @makeupbymila , hair @saintasylum , wardrobe @jamar_hart . My biggest takeaway from this shoot is that I hope I inspire women out there to realize it’s never too late to start again. I am 39 (mother of 2) and starting a new chapter in my career, which feels like a rebirth. It's okay to reinvent yourself and take a different path from where you started.
