As a young rugby player I thought a protein shake after training meant my intake for the day was sorted.
The older I got, the more I worked with nutritionists and the more i became aware of the importance of protein, not just for my physique, but for my performance and recovery, too.
Now I make sure every meal of the day is built around it. If it’s a high in fat protein source, I’ll leave the carbs to keep my calories in check. If it’s a lean protein source, I’ll get the fries 😉
When it comes to results, not just physique but performance and recovery too, the nutrtion is just as important as the training.
