Today seems like a good day to be posting this. Calum Scott @calumscott “If You Ever Change Your Mind” In a relationship, there is so much that you feel that you can’t see - all of the strings that pull us together or pull us away when we least expect it. Harry has crafted yet another beautiful video that conveys all of these intricate emotions. There is so much going on here and I urge you to take a few minutes out of your day and experience it for yourself. Harry and I spoke at length about how the camera was going to move, how we could experience the emotions from a third perspective, a kind of out-of-body experience that we might feel when going through these emotions ourselves. We wanted a rig that could move freely and delicately amongst supple’s choreography and @mattfarrant helped us to create a large-format handheld beauty to move amongst our talent. Beautiful kit and glass supplied by @onestopfilms @7isatribe The biggest concern I had for this video (and I’m sure many other cinematographers and filmmakers can relate) was the consistency of light. The video takes place over one brief moment in time but, we are shooting towards south west-facing windows on a London winters day... @pope.willy and his team worked tirelessly pre-rigging gels and windows to help us keep the consistency we needed and without them, this video would be a dark mess.
