This is an article published in December 2021, but it’s relevance continues as private equity business models continue to play a role in the care of patients. Although there are always some exceptions, please read the full article (link in my stories) to be fully informed on how private equity has negatively affected healthcare. The end goal of a private equity business model is the profit for investors. As a physician, I will always continue to provide the highest standard of medical care and elective cosmetic care by fostering a traditional doctor-patient relationship and practicing honest medicine.
