Although it doesn’t open until September 2, Carriqui, one of several new restaurants debuting at the Pearl complex over the next eighteen months, already has a storied past. Built in a painstakingly preserved 1890s building, the restaurant was formerly the home of the beloved, distinctively slanted Liberty Bar. Beginning in 2014, the original structure underwent an ambitious and painstaking renovation and rehabilitation, which included the addition of a second building and a large patio.
