Congrats to Eli @browngirlhiking who has just recently surpassed the halfway point of the Pacific Crest Trail. #thruhikerthursday Here is what she had to say about her journey thus far and making it 1,325 miles. “This trail has taken my blood, my sweat, and so many tears. It has taken 20lbs of flesh from my body. It's taken six weeks away from my partner, two and a half months away from home, stolen the skin from the bottom of my feet, and taken more of my mental sanity than I thought I had to give. However, this trail has given as much as it has taken as well. It's given me steel legs, mental fortitude, a strong will. It's given me the adventure of a lifetime, friends for days, the knowledge that I am stronger than I ever believed possible. I am halfway to Canada, and Mexico feels like a lifetime ago. I have so many more lessons to learn from the PCT, and I am a ravenous and eager student. Let's go!”
