I have so much to say but there’s not enough time in the world left to get it all out. So for now instead, I’m posing in front of the Starbucks in Tualatin where I reconnected with Joe years ago. I went to the Lane Bryant in the strip mall to get clothes for my dear friend Katherine’s wedding in Oregon. I got my goods and hung out in the parking lot waiting for Cody to pick me up. Then it started pouring rain so I ran into this Starbucks for shelter. Hunky, ever dashing, serene as always Joe was in this Starbucks and walked up to me asking if I remembered him. OF COURSE I REMEMBER HOT JOE! He was using their powerful WiFi for downloading shows to watch in his barn. Maybe Larry Sanders or Blazers replays...I invited him to be my date to the wedding. It didn’t happen that night, but it was the beginning of our deepened connection. There are closer Starbucks to him, there were other places for me to shop at. Kismet was such a prevalent theme for our love story. Now I’m back at that Lane Bryant buying Clothing for his funeral looking at this Starbucks and trying to take it all in. I don’t know why the universe did this to us but we are soooooooooo lucky to have so many wonderful people in our families, so many ‘Angel machine’ friends and so many strangers who are holding us and I’m grateful for that.
