FAN REQUEST! You wanted us to review Escudo Aguila Real, so here we go with their plata (blanco) From NOM 1414 in the Highlands, master distiller Sergio Cruz. This is a very nice blanco. Crisp, a hint of sweetness, very clean and refreshing. I get big-time Fresca flavors on this. It’s a solid sipper. Escudo Aguila Real means Royal Eagle Shield, and the eagle on the bottle and the cap carry the branding through superbly. Get it online and in limited stores. Old Town Tequila has it in-stock. Another winner from 1414. At $59 it’s a little pricey for a blanco, but not ridiculous. For me and for Maddie, it’s a 8 and worth a buy!
