It’s intense, chaotic, tiring, and completely overwhelming, but the experience of snorkeling and freediving with baitballs during a large multi-species migration is extremely rewarding and worth it. Birds, mammals, and fish work together towards the same goal...to have a chance at catching their next meal. The idea is to be a part of it and to witness as much as we can of course, but to be more of a fly on the wall, or rather an observant sea creature so that we don’t impede or effect the progression of the hunt. We go out looking for striped Marlin, which is what makes this migration unique from others across the globe, but in truth, we have learned to expect the unexpected, because we never know what we are going to find.
