Sundays are a day of rest, right? The tough conditions, slow progress and the weekend storms arriving made the decision to bail down to the Refuge du Couvercle winter room and easy one. Abs, Fred’s partner, and I met them there with another 4 days food, more gas, and then some well earned pizza and beer. Leaving the guys to themselves Sunday morning, it was now a matter of drying all their clothes and boots, sleeping in shelter, and waiting for the storm to blow through. As you read this, Fred and Benj will be making their way back up to Pointe Isabelle and onwards on this epic expedition. #UTMG (Updates being shared by @charley.radcliffe)
