Why I DON’T add mascara to the bottom lashes for a look like this: For a cat 🐈 eye look like this, I barely add mascara to the bottom lashes (if any at all) as it will distort the “cat eye” shape you’ve created with the liner. Lining the eye has a straightening effect and adding mascara under the eye can bring any roundness back to the eye. I also keep all shadow work under the eye super tight adjacent to the liner 💁🏼‍♀️ Now let’s talk about inner corner V liner work - it’s an amazing technique to almond an eye, lengthen and sharpen 🔪 To create this look you need a liner that is super waterproof and if using a gel liner I love a small flat brush to apply with, such as the @crownbrushaustralia C212 brush. I also use this brush for all my waterline work as it’s super precise, and you can wiggle the product down between the lash roots for a seamless black where it meets the shadow under. Don’t make your inner V points too long as it will draw the eyes together too much. I like to do this subtly. Team your inner corner with an outer corner wing liner to balance the eye otherwise they’ll look “inner heavy”. I do the inner corner work at the end of the eye makeup so it’s fresh to photograph.
