ICE CUBE - Times Square, New York City - circa 1991 Even though he and a few members of NWA once showed up at a birthday party of mine back in the day, I don't "really" know him. Most people i work with i actually know, especially by this point in time. Hip Hop was a big family but before the 90's the circles were small. So back to this one, i believe he was here in NYC getting ready to go solo and work with my good friends "The Bomb Squad"... I was a fan of his and asked our mutual friend Mack to get us together to make a few photographs. Also notable, he had just cut off his Jheri curls and i don't think he was used to it yet, so the hood was up the whole time. We made a few quick photos and that was it. A photograph made this same day is in the MY RULES book and was first seen in FUCK YOU HEROES.
