Kaikai Kiki Gallery @kaikaikikigallery is holding "Roppongi Art Night Group Exhibition". I, Mr., have painted Doraemon as a subject and it is exhibited there. I have been watching Doraemon since I was in elementary school, when I saw it on TV in real time. I was strongly influenced by the anime as well as the manga. I designed each character with both manga and anime styles in mind. As I was designing this Doraemon picture, I thought to myself that when I was in elementary school, Shogaku-X-nensei, CoroCoro Comic Monthly , such as TV Asahi's broadcasts and rebroadcasts, had a strong and familiar influence on me. Oh well, I thought, Fujiko F. Fujio-sensei was targeting children, not adolescents. I can clearly feel his strong will that he kept thinking and thinking through with the publisher and editorial department that the future is not for adults but for children and their descendants who will follow after them. Also, this time, I reviewed a huge amount of manga and anime DVDs. I also copied Fujiko F. Fujio-sensei's works. I thought that Fujiko F. Fujio-sensei's manga style was inevitably born in Japan in a completely different form from the original Cubism (modern three-dimensional school). He made round and straight objects look comfortable, Nobita's ears on the opposite side of his head were visible, Doraemon's hand was clearly longer than the other hand, and he was able to sit up straight with his legs folded underneath, which was supposed to be impossible.
