When I first started filming weddings I used to love shooting solo. I tried to bring a fresh voice, with a background rooted in classic cinema to every frame produced. Over the years I’ve embraced the idea of having a strong team more and more.
The business and creative elements have grown stronger and wider that I could have imagined or tried to accomplish alone. This drone shot from @joelle_fletcher and @jrodgers11 weddings is a perfect example.
After they walked out of the ceremony I could see Martin positing the drone for a top down view of the couple walking out through the vineyard. The photographer and I were following the couple down the path from behind. I motioned to her to pause for a minute giving the drone enough space to capture this super unique shot and yelled ahead for the couple to kiss. When I saw the actual footage later it was even better that I imagined. Thanks to my team for being the best! And thanks to @valoriedarling for the team photo.
