Happy to be home for Father’s Day. Working in film is often living in a duality against the real life. They’re often separated by a hard line and it takes a lot of time and hard work to achieve balance. I’ve had a lot of instability with my career these past few years, but here at home with this amazing woman who leads the pack while her own career is on the rise, and these incredible young girls who constantly check, support, and inspire us - this is really everything that matters in the moment, and for the future. I’ve been saying that dad’s don’t really deserve a Father’s Day, at least until their youngest is like 3 or 4. Moms work way too hard. They sacrifice their body, time, energy, career, freedom, happiness, privacy, etc. I really don’t think I deserve a day for me as I come back from being a ghost at work for 2-3 weeks, but this image is my POV when I come home, and it swells my heart with joy. This moment is enough for me. Thank you @youaretheriver for constantly enduring and continuing to love and support me. You make me a better father and I’m honored to be your partner. It’s just laughable to think otherwise. I love you. I love Wyeth. I love Rowan. Freya too. I may be awkward with babies and young kids, but I’m so thankful.
