We’re getting a new train station in Parkchester! 🚉 This morning, we joined Governor Hochul, Senator Schumer, Representative Torres, and MTA CEO Janno Lieber to announce the formal start of the Penn Station Access project. This project will create an extension of Metro-North Railroad‘s New Haven Line to reach Penn Station, all while creating four new accessible stations and improving existing tracks and bridges. Once completed, our neighbors in The Bronx could see their commute times decrease by over an hour! It’s especially meaningful to see the positive impact the Penn Station Access Project will have on working-class communities in our district. 🎉
