The UNESCO protected town of Alberobello in Puglia is filled with these uniquely shaped structures called Trulli. Although most Alberobello residents don't reside in the Trulli today, they are a stunning site to see with an interesting history as well! Built in the 1500s, these small houses were made simply out of limestone without mortar so the rulers of the town could easily take them down to avoid paying property taxes!
