Floods in Eastern Kentucky have killed 37 people and left hundreds without housing. Our hearts go out to our siblings in Kentucky facing catastrophic climate disasters. Reports say that historic under-investment left the infrastructure unable to deal with the heavy rain. Thousands are still displaced, or at home without power or drinking water. As high heat approaches this week, the crisis continues. Atrocities like this one are why we need massive investments from all levels of goverment to stop the climate crisis and to build climate-resiliant infrastructure, especially in rural & poor communities.
