NEW YEARS RESOLUTION: Explore San Francisco Architecture! Every single neighborhood is full of beautiful architecture in the Victorian or Edwardian style. These umbrella terms include Gothic Revival, Italianate, Stick, and Queen Anne. These styles were very popular during the Gold Rush era which brought an influx of wealth into SF. Lots of building and construction took place in the city leading to a prevalence of these styles. While lots of buildings were lost in the great fire of 1906, numerous historical homes remain a shining example of what makes San Francisco so unique.
